Chia-Wei (Billy) Wu – Director
LLM, JD, LLB

Mr Chia-Wei (Billy) Wu is one of the founders of AGC Lawyers and provides specialised advice in the areas of Immigration, Property, Commercial and Corporation Law.
Billy holds a Juris Doctor and a Masters of Law from Bond University. He has remained an active Alumni of Bond University and takes an active interest in the development of future law graduates. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws after completing his studies in Taiwan.
Billy has extensive experience assisting his clients in complex immigration, property and commercial matters. Due to his commercial mindset, he is adept at ascertaining his client’s needs and providing proven legal strategies to meet his client’s goals. As a result of this, he has a diverse range of clients ranging from investors, business owners, foreign corporations, and associations.
Billy was the President of the Taiwanese Friendship Association from 2015 to 2017 and continues to be heavily involved in the Asian Business Community. He has regularly been invited to present on a range of topics to the business community. Billy is also an active member of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce.
Finally, Billy was one of the key parties in establishing A&C International Legal in Taiwan, being the only Australian law firm in Taiwan.

Peter.Kelly – Barrister

Peter was admitted to the Bar in 1984 and holds a Masters degree in Prosecution and Criminal Law.
His background includes trial counsel with the State and Commonwealth DPP’s, Counsel with the ‘Fitzgerald Inquiry’, Special Prosecutor’s Office, and Criminal Justice Commission.
Between 2005 and 2008 Peter was appointed Special Adviser to the AusAid Program in Papua New Guinea designed to bring capacity to that country’s Law and Justice Sector. Peter was Senior State Prosecutor and appeared as counsel in many high profile trials and Constitutional hearings in that country. He has also served with the European Union program in Pakistan training specialist Investigative and Prosecution units connected with the Pakistan Police and Prosecutors Office.
Peter now practices on the Gold Coast, Australia in Criminal Law majoring in defence cases including appellate, trial and tribunal hearings. Peter’s practice also includes Proceeds of Crime, Environmental Enforcement law and Sports tribunal hearings.

Alexander Choy – Barrister

Alex was called to the Bar in 2018 and practices in commercial litigation.
He holds a Masters degree in Commercial Law from the University of Oxford and received the University Medals in Law and International Business as the top graduate in his undergraduate degrees. He is currently completing a Masters of Taxation at the University of Sydney.
Prior to joining the Bar, Alex worked as a solicitor at a leading international law firm where he worked on complex contractual disputes and class actions. He also served as a Judge’s associate in the Federal Court of Australia, gaining experience in bankruptcy, corporations, trade practices and migration matters.
Alex appears in all Australian courts and tribunals and keeps chambers in Brisbane.

Arnold Siu – Senior Associate
LLB, BCom, GradDipLp

Arnold is a senior associate of AGC Lawyers specialising in Property (including property development), commercial and corporation laws. Prior to coming on board at AGC Lawyers, Arnold has practised law for more than 5 years and has extensive knowledge of property law and commercial law gained over the years of acting in all facets of property transactions, including acquisition, disposal and development of property for residential, commercial, industrial, retail and mixed-use purposes. Arnold also has extensive experience in all forms of leasing, acting for both landlords and tenants.
Arnold has been very active in the Chinese community where he was the former vice-president of Australian Club of Chinese Professional Inc., secretary of Queensland Chinese Forum, one of the directors of Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese. At present, he is the secretary of Integrated Chinese Club of Queensland Inc. and Hong Kong Culture and Unity Association Inc.
Jonathan Law – Senior Consultant

Jonathan is a Senior Consultant for AGC Lawyers, specialising in personal injury and criminal law. He is an admitted solicitor to the High Court of Australia. He was born and raised in Australia but has close ties to Hong Kong and can speak fluent Cantonese.
Jonathan has practiced law for 8 years and enjoys the adrenaline rush of being in Court and fighting for his clients. He had worked in top-tier national firms and accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience, especially in the personal injury sphere.
He is a board member and director of the Lions Club of Brisbane Chinese and has been the president and vice-president of BNI Paramount, a networking group for business professionals.
During the weekends, Jonathan enjoys teaching children at his local church and playing board games with family and friends. He volunteers his time with the Caxton Legal Centre as he holds strong beliefs in providing support to the community around him.
Joseph Cheung – Solicitor

Joseph is an Associate at AGC Lawyers based in Brisbane who has a particular focus in Employment Law, Family Law, Dispute Resolution, Mediation and Administrative Law. Joseph completed his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Honours) degrees at the Queensland University of Technology before he was admitted as a lawyer in Queensland in 2015. He has over 13 years of experience working in both the Queensland Government and Federal Government with extensive knowledge of policies, organisational culture and practice in the public sector.
Joseph is an experienced Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner who is skilled in facilitating workplace and family mediation. He is keen to help his clients resolve disputes in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. In addition to his legal roles, Joseph is also a popular bilingual marriage celebrant and wedding reception MC in Southeast Queensland, and an experienced NAATI certified translator with more than 12 years of experience.
Over the years in providing professional services to his clients, Joseph has built a reputation for his high level of professionalism and integrity so he is well trusted and respected by his clients and colleagues. He is also renowned for his detailed, caring and friendly approach when assisting clients. Joseph speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Gabrielle Jiang – Solicitor, Dual-qualified in Australia and China

Gabrielle Jiang holds legal professional qualifications both in China and Australia. She has been working in the legal industry for nearly fifteen years since 2007.
Gabrielle obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) degree from the Queensland University of Technology. She has also obtained a Master of Laws (LLM.) from the University of Queensland in order to broaden her technical knowledge in Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution.
Gabrielle has been successful in a wide range of cases in Australia when she worked for the King & Wood Mallesons, Law in Order and The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for the State of Queensland (ICLRQ). She is also a Member of the INSOL International, INSOL Europe and Law Council of Australia. As a learned Corporate lawyer, she has years of experience in domestic and international transactions. She simplifies the complex and provides legal advice that is clear, comprehensive and practical.
Being a dual-qualified lawyer, she represents clients in cross-border disputes especially in the Corporate Law, Family law areas, both nationally and internationally. Gabrielle also has extensive experience in cases regarding the Child Support legislation and the drafting of Binding Agreements.
Gabrielle prides herself on her willingness and compassion to built a solid relationship with her clients and aims to find the most appropriate solution for clients’ best interests. She is able to speak both English and Mandarin Chinese to the native level fluency.
